Where history, civic engagement, and education unite for positive change.

Learning & Living Racial Justice

Baltimore is full of welcoming residents, thriving businesses, and enriching educational opportunities. We celebrate this diverse mix of people, places, and experiences. To celebrate our rich culture and work toward a just and inclusive future, we partner with community organizations and educators in the creation of place-based and culturally inclusive educational materials.

Educators across the United States are grappling with how to teach U.S. history in a way that celebrates its acomplishments and acknowledges where we have failed to live up to our ideals. This section provides educational materials created by local educators to help engage students in understanding their past.
